The organ of Notre-Dame des Neiges

Immediately following the building of the church, in 1969, Orgues et Montagnes was created to undertake the construction of an organ and, subsequently, to manage the musical activities around it. Its first chairman was Jean DUBOIN. The Association was headed between 1988 and 2004 by Jacques BOUTEILLER, and merged in 2004 with Notre-Dame des Neiges, headed by Eric FREYSSELINARD, in 2004.

Named "Christophe-Raphael", the organ was inaugurated, in 1978, by Jean GUILLOU who has engineered its musical composition. The organ builder is Detlef KLEUKER, from Bielefeld (Germany). The case of the organ, well known thanks to its original shape (the hand of God...), was designed by the architect of the church, Jean MAROL.

Jean-Paul IMBERT is the titular organist since 1993.

The organ has 24 stops, on two manual keyboards of 61 notes and one pedal keyboard of 32 notes.

It is equipped with an electronic controller allowing to store thousands of registrations.
